NOCN Level 2 Award Door Supervision (4 Days)

It is a legal requirement of all persons that work within the security industry that they are personally licenced for the activity they are carrying out. The NOCN Door Supervisors course and qualification is designed to give candidates the Basic Job Training (BJT) and Communication and Conflict Management Skills to apply for the Security Industry Authority (SIA) Door Supervisors licence.The course is of 4 days duration (2 days each section) and consists of taught theory, scenario based training and is assessed by a written examination on each section. Successful candidates would then be able to apply to the SIA for a Door Supervisor Licence.

First Aid at Work (3 Days)

Any Industry would benefit from their staff achieving a First Aid qualification to ensure workplace safety. The First Aid at Work qualification gives successful candidates the knowledge and confidence to effectively and competently deal with most First Aid situations. The course combines taught theory lessons with scenario based training sessions with a final practical assessment.

Course Content:

  • understand the role of the first aider including reference to the use of available equipment and the need for recording incidents and actions;
  • understand the importance of basic hygiene in first-aid procedures;
  • assess the situation and circumstances in order to act safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency;
  • administer first aid to a casualty who is unconscious and/or in seizure;
  • administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation;
  • administer first aid to a casualty who is wounded or bleeding and/or in shock;
  • administer first aid to a casualty who is choking;
  • Provide appropriate first aid for minor injuries.
  • Recognising the presence of major illness and applying general first aid principles in its management.
  • candidates should be able to demonstrate the correct first-aid management of:
  • soft tissue injuries;
  • injuries to bones including suspected spinal injuries;
  • chest injuries;
  • burns and scalds;
  • eye injuries including how to irrigate an eye;
  • Sudden poisoning and anaphylactic shock.

On successful completion of the course the qualification is valid for 3 years and the student will be issued with a HSE (Health and Safety Executive) approved and recognised First Aid at Work Certificate.
